- Add all ingredients to pot, place lid on pot
- Bring to boil on high, don't wander off it's quick
- Reduce to simmer, usually low or med low depending on your stove
- Stir occasionally, salt and pepper to taste near the end
Notes
Rough chop is simple and you are not trying to be neat. You do want the be consistant, look at the tip of your pinky fingernail, that should be about how big your pieces are and the closer to the same they are the more evenly cooked they will be. Large pieces will not cook in time. We are not worried about peeling the carrots.
