Basic Bean & Rice Bowl

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cp Rice, Long Grain [Core Item]
  • 1 can Beans Kidney usually, 12 oz [first add]
  • 1 can Tomatoes, diced 12 oz can [ 2nd add]
  • 2 tbsp Chili Powder [3rd add]
  • 1 can water Use the tomato can

Equipment

  • 1 3 qt Pot Part of the initial starter set

Method
 

  1. Open and rinse the can of beans
  2. Combine all ingredients in the 3 qt pot, place lid on pot
  3. Place on stove and set to high, bring to boil (don't wander off, it's quick)
  4. Once boiling, reduce heat to low, do NOT remove the lid.
  5. Let sit for 15-20 minutes
  6. Remove lid and fluff mixture, salt and pepper to taste.
